RONALD M. PROSS, D.M.D, F.A.G.D

Dr. Ronald M. Pross, originally from New York, is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, he spent two years as a Captain in the United States Air Force Dental Corps, serving at MacDill Air Force Base. After completing his tour of duty with the Air Force, he started a private practice. Along with his two partners, Dr. Kanter and Dr M. Tindell, he formed North Pointe Dental Associates. Dedicated to a lifelong education in dentistry, Dr. Pross continues to stay at the top of his field through thousands of hours of continuing education courses. He finished graduate work at the LD Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, the Dawson Center, the Align Technology Group, and the Geneva Dental Institute of Sacramento. Dr. Pross is also a certified Invisalign dentist and is certified in sleep studies. He is also a member of the Seattle Study Club of Tampa, the Tampa Bay Academy of General Dentistry, and several other dental organizations. Dr. Pross is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Pross performs general and cosmetic dentistry on patients to improve their smile. Some modern treatments offered are: Invisalign, dental implants, crowns, and porcelain veneers, to name a few. In addition to that, he is focused on his patients’ general health and works to identify and provide treatment to patients who are at risk for sleep apnea.

RICHARD M. KANTER, D.M.D, F.A.G.D.

Dr. Richard M. Kanter received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974. After completing his Air Force commitment at MacDill Air Force Base, he began his private practice at North Pointe Dental Associates. Dr. Kanter has attended more than 2000 hours of post-graduate courses to master the art and science of dentistry and to provide the highest quality of care possible to his patients. His areas of particular interest are restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and a post-graduate student of the prestigious L. D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. He is a member of the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and a founding member of the Tampa chapter of the prestigious Seattle Study Club.

Dr. Kanter’s additional honors include being President of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry and President of the Florida Academy of General Dentistry. He is presently serving as an elected Trustee of the national Academy of General Dentistry.

BARRETT I. TINDELL, D.D.S

Dr. Barrett I. Tindell, a native of Tampa and graduate of Jesuit High School, received his undergraduate education at the University of Florida.  He continued his education by attending New York University (NYU), where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.  Dr. Tindell furthered his education by completing his general practice residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey.  This program utilized a multidisciplinary approach to providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages.

Dr. Tindell is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.  He has completed hundreds of CE hours in restorative dentistry and oral surgery including courses at the prestigious Dawson Academy and a yearlong implant continuum from the University of Florida Office of Continuing Education.  When he is not treating patients, Dr. Tindell enjoys playing sports and spending time with his wife Cristy, baby daughter Naomi, and dog Peyton.

Paul Lu D.D.S

Dr. Lu graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1999.

After graduation, he was selected for a hospital-based general practice residency at Manchester VA hospital, Manchester, NH.

At the VA hospital, Dr. Lu became very adept at working with the elderly and medically compromised patients.

Paul practiced for four years in Massachusetts before achieving his dream of moving to Florida. In 2004 he joined Dr. Augustyniak at Spring Hill Dental Associates.  In 2019 Dr. Lu came to practice at North Pointe Dental Associates.

Dr. Lu embraces the latest techniques and technology available in dentistry. He attends many continuing education courses each year to acquire new skills, with an emphasis on the latest and greatest cosmetic dental procedures. He is a member of the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Outside of the office he enjoys bowling, kayaking, and can often be seen on the tennis courts in Spring Hill. He is a true animal lover with six rescue cats and a Havanese named Mattie.

Dr. Lennie Friedman

Dr. Lennie Friedman has firsthand experience as a dental patient, enduring tooth extractions, braces (twice!), and numerous cavities in her back teeth due to her sweet tooth. This personal journey shapes her dentistry approach, emphasizing personalized and preventive care.

Recognizing the uniqueness of each patient, she focuses on addressing minor issues before they escalate into major dental problems.

Although born and raised in Tampa, Dr. Friedman embarked on an educational journey that took her to various parts of the country. She obtained her Doctoral degree in Dentistry from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and completed a rigorous hospital residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in New York.

Prior to this, she pursued her passion for nutrition and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin, achieving Dean’s list honors. To stay updated with the latest advancements, she obtained Invisalign Level I certification and received specialized training in caring for patients with medically compromised conditions.

When she is not focused on perfecting smiles, she values spending quality time with her husband, son, and two daughters. Whether it involves traveling to new destinations, skiing, engaging in exercise, or savoring good food, Dr. Friedman embraces the joys of life.
